The Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute has inaugurated Radiation Oncology Department in the New building 1C – Block basement 02 with ultra-modern machines with advanced treatment planning system.

2. Tomotherapy (Radixact X9)
3. Linear accelerator (True Beam-SVC)
4. Brachytherapy (Flexitron)
5. CT simulator (Siemens – Somatom Confidence) and oxygen generator plant.
   

Inauguration program was scheduled on 16th Oct 2021 in the Maa Sharda Auditorium, Institute of Kidney Disease and Research Center. The chief guest were Honorable Shree Rushikesh Patel, Ministry of Medical Education, Health, and Family Welfare & Water Resources and Water Supply, Gujarat, Srimati Nimishaben Suthar Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Gujarat, Shree Pradeepbhai Parmar Social Justice and Empowerment and Mr. Manoj Agarwal IAS Additional Chief Secretary Department of Health and Family Welfare and Shree Pankaj Patel Chairman The Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute in this program. Shree Prashant Kinariwala, General Secretary of Gujarat Cancer Society, GB members of GCRI. All Deans and Superintendent of Civil Campus, Dr. Shashank J.
